Shrina loves tennis and is hoping to inspire others to love the sport as much as she does. She is qualified PE teacher with a degree in Health Science. She has grown up playing sports with hockey as her first love. At 40 (something) she still loves it and is currently playing competitively with Berkhamsted Hockey Club. 11 years ago, after the birth of her twins she picked up tennis. For that one hour a week it was her escape… “Being outside, learning a new sport and someone telling me what to do! Ever since then I’ve been hooked.”
All three of her children started playing tennis at the club from a very young age and it’s a sport they all love as a family. Unfortunately, there aren’t as many female tennis coaches in the area and this was one of the reasons she decided to do her tennis coaching qualification.
Shrina is very passionate about children playing sport especially girls and we hope having a female tennis coach as a role model will inspire more girls to keep play tennis!
